Exploring AI
“Knowledge grows when it is shared. Not hoarded like a secret treasure, but spread wide and far like seeds in a fertile field.”
— An anonymous quote that Microsoft Copilot gave me
As I write this, it is February 4, 2025.
AI has taken off in a big way (a big way) over the past couple of years, and I made it my personal mission to AI-proof my career about a year ago. Honestly, this started off as an exercise in self-preservation. I found the rapid rise in AI frightening, and immediately started dreaming up all the ways the robots were coming after my job.
I then started to read, and study, and listen and discuss and experiment with AI. And I proved myself right: AI can do a lot of the things that I do at a passable level. Things that would’ve been inconceivable a few years ago. But I found it exciting and exhilarating, and not frightening or overwhelming.
As I’ve been learning, I’ve been taking so many notes to document my findings and I’ve decided to share them here for everyone and anyone! Gatekeeping is not for me because a rising tide lifts all boats.
However, a few caveats:
This resource hub is designed for the general public with no/limited AI experience, predominantly people in advertising or the music industry.
I’m not an expert. Please do your due diligence before you make any drastic life changes based on anything I’ve shared.
If you found this useful, please share this with others!
And on that note, I am documenting this publicly because I love sharing knowledge. Please credit me if you share any of my thoughts and opinions, and don’t monetise any of my learnings. See: opening quote about not being a gatekeeper!
P.S. The photo at the top of this page is the sky as seen from the alleyway outside The Duke of Clarence in Sydney, taken on a recent trip to Sydney. There were a few stragglers in the courtyard, all with a beer in hand, deep in conversations. I kept looking up at the most brilliantly blue sliver of sky, and wondering why no one else could see it. This is how I feel about artificial intelligence: energised and hoping that others will join me at looking up at the blue sky of possibilities.

I read (and am reading) a bunch of books related to AI so you don’t have to.
With summaries of what the books cover off and who I reckon would get the most out of each.

Spaghetti Questions
My big, messy questions about AI (mostly ethics) and my equally as messy answers.
(In progress and will likely always be in progress, but you can see my initial thoughts.)
AI-Proof Careers
My thoughts on how to AI-proof your career so you can survive, or even thrive in a post-consumer AI world.
(In progress, and hopefully I don’t eat my words later.)
