Exploring AI
“Knowledge grows when it is shared. Not hoarded like a secret treasure, but spread wide and far like seeds in a fertile field.”
— An anonymous quote that Microsoft Copilot gave me
As I write this, it is February 4, 2025.
AI has taken off in a big way (a big way) over the past couple of years, and I made it my personal mission to AI-proof my career a while ago. To be completely honest, this started off as an exercise in self-preservation. I found the rapid rise in AI frightening, and immediately figured out all the way robots could steal my job.
I then started to read, and study, and listen and discuss and experiment with AI hands on, and discovered even more ways that AI and automation can replace me in work. But I found it exciting and exhilarating, and not frightening or overwhelming.
I’ve always been one for sharing knowledge. Gatekeeping wisdom is gross and I’m a firm believer that doing so disadvantages everyone, including said gatekeepers. As I explore AI, I’ve decided to create an info hub to document my thoughts and share with everyone and anyone.
A few caveats:
This resource hub is designed for the general public with no/limited AI experience, predominantly people in ad land or the music industry.
I’m not an expert, so please do your due diligence before you make any drastic life changes based on anything I’ve shared here.
Finally, I’m doing this out of the goodness of my heart, so please credit me if you share anything here and don’t try to monetise my learnings for yourself. See: opening quote about not being a gatekeeper!
P.S. I took the photograph at the top of this page in a busy alleyway outside of The Duke of Clarence in Sydney, and their vegetarian pub feed pictured here. There were a few other stragglers in the courtyard, all with a beer in hand, deep in conversations. I kept looking up at the most brilliantly blue sliver of sky, and wondering why no one else could see it. This is how I feel about artificial intelligence: energised and hoping that others will join me at looking up at the blue sky of possibilities.

The Basics
Start here if you need a primer on what AI is. This is enough info that you could reasonable participate in a convo about AI over Friday night drinks without having a panic attack. (In progress.)
AI 101
A non-exhaustive and ever growing list of key terms and interesting concepts about AI.
AI Book Club
I read (and am reading) a bunch of books related to AI so you don’t have to.
With summaries of what the books cover off and who I reckon would get the most out of each.
There’s An AI For That
Compiling a (largely untested) list of AIs to do my bidding.
Spaghetti Questions
My big, messy questions about AI (mostly ethics) and my equally as messy answers.
